Under the direction of Chief Minister Shri Hemanta Biswa Sarma, the Assam government has started a significant project known as the “Amrit Brikshya Andolan” By planting one crore seedling trees, the Amrit Brikha Andolan hopes to encourage a greener and more prosperous environment in the state.
On June 8, 2023, the Amrit Brikha Andolan will be formally introduced. Its goal is to increase the state’s green cover to support a tree-based economy and promote the development of a state-wide tree-based economy that may produce viable livelihoods and some income possibilities.

Every district in Assam is receiving Seedlings from the state government. The Seedlings must be picked up by participants from the collecting center. Both the website and the mobile app allow for participant registration.
Once the seedling is planted and a picture of it is submitted to the web, a financial reward of Rs. 100 will be given by Direct Beneficiary Transfer, and Rs. 200 will be paid in the third year if the plant survives. The photographs must be shot using a GPS camera since they need to include geo-tag metadata.
